Apocalypse now

I think the whole idea was interesting. Didn't feel like dance though... More like videogame music. Which isn't bad. Actually, like kingpoke said it reminded me a lot of dungeons or boss levels in old RPGs.

I know the idea was to feel the chaos of that moment, but there was something a bit too chaotic and not enough melodic in the end... to my taste anyway. I wish, with the description you gave, that it would have felt more epic and that the piano would have sounded more melodious and smooth... But again... that's my two bits.

Speachless

Being a piano player myself, I'm always easily impress with any song made with piano in. It's like my little chocolate coating. But when I have the privilege of crossing another piano player's path, it's always inspiring. The more I listen to your music, the more I envy you. I envy you because you are so young and yet so talented. When I was your age (17 years ago (crazy how the difference between us is more than your age)) I played the piano... but never like you do.

This song is again a great display of raw emotions and so little can fully achieve. Thank you for being what you are and just persevere... never give up... work on your talent and don't let people tell you that you're not good. For whatever reason.

Not bad

I think it's quite nice... composition wise...
I think the only problem is it's just not THAT original. It's sounds like many videogames tunes we hear around. But don't give up, you've got talent and you've got to start somewhere.

Glad to finally see a review of yours.

You think so? I can definitely tell you that the harp intro was inspired by the curse zone song from Castlevania. The rest was actually inspired by Danman87 and Paradoxphenomena. But I did get my start in VG muzik.

Come to think of it, I did use a lot of stock melodies (melodies that have been circulating around my brain for a while and I either hummed or actually put in a different song) for this song.

But I'm surprised that you think I'm new at this, I've actually been doing this for 9 months now and have more than 50 songs under my belt now. Granted, the first 40 blow monkey dick, but the rest are okay, thanks to this site.

Wow, my response is longer than your review lol.

Loved it.

I think what is very cool about a tune like this is the fact that you were able to change mood and ambiance many times trough the whole of the piece.

The only thing that ticked me was toward the end... I think it got a little cluttered and less melodic... but maybe that's what you were going for.

In any case, a very nice compo...
Keep it up!

SymbolCymbal responds:

well i plan on redoing this song when i get enough suggestions, maybe shortening the begining. ill prolly sort out the end a lil better as well.
thanks for the sweet review

Very good!

Loved it... like everyone here.

If you want a constructive comment though, I'd say it would sound even better if you could get more sounds in the highs better in certain parts it's a bit muffled being it all in the same ranges... if you get what I mean. =)

In any case... good job! I'll be dropping by to get more from you!

PrEmoEffect responds:

Yeah, I could add some other synths, and improve the sounds to span a higher frequency. The big part is the mastering, it needs improvement =P

Interesting... but I'd see more.

Hi!

I think what you did is very interesting. The beats reminded me a lot of beats used in Linkin Park's Reanimation album.

Unfortunately, I would have loved is you added more layers to the whole thing. It would have been nice to create a ascension in the piece were a momentum would have peaked. If you catch my drift...

In any case... Good job!
